Love Is a UFO

Be my emerging nation,
and I’ll be your development loan,

and if we forfeit clarity, so what,
representational language is dead,

assassinated, and the sky is everyone’s,
or will be, when the troops

massed on the border disperse,
and then somewhere near there’ll be

love holes elaborately pasted
like rubies and emeralds

to the broad, curved underside of dusk.
